Learning how to use a Access is often best done on an independent basis. You will be expected to progress through the Access lesson book on your own. Certain parts of creating Access databases will be reviewed in class but you will do most of your learning on your own. Please contact Dr. Z if you have any questions.

It is assumed that you know how to use Windows XP. If you are not confortable with Windows XP, this book has a couple of units in the front that you should complete. Being comfortable with the operating system is essential if you are going to succeed at using Microsoft Access. Complete as much or as little as you think is necessary to become proficient in using Windows XP.
