Process Overview

The Digital Portfolios Made Easy Process is made up of seven stages:

Collecting Artifacts

The first stage in this process is selecting artifacts. This can be the toughest part of creating a portfolio, digital or otherwise. It is difficult to decide how to portray oneself as a professional. Because this involves individual selection of artifacts, this stage is typically covered in workshops held by Dr. Leigh E. Zeitz.

The remaining four components of the Digital Portfolios Made Easy process are covered under corresponding links through this website. If you have any questions or wish to schedule a workshop, feel free to the Digital Portfolios Made Easy team.

Examples

Before you begin your own portfolio, it can be useful to examine other teacher's portfolios.

Please spend some time reviewing these portfolios, and address these three questions:

  • What are the strengths of each portfolio?

  • How well do the artifacts, reflections, and construction of the portfolio craft a professional image?

  • How could each be improved?
